Why Are We Unique?

Surface FX had its beginnings almost 30 years ago in Santa Barbara when its owner and president, Michael Rottapel, then a biology major at UCSB and working part time in the construction industry, was hired to waterproof and remodel an underground house.  That first job led to a relationship with a division of Beatrice Chemical and ultimately a career change.  Michael formed a company that went on to develop more relationships with a variety of construction industry manufacturers and over time he became known as the "go to guy for putting his clients together with the right products to solve their construcion related problems.

Today that small company has evolved into a 5000 sq. ft. showroom and distribution center that represents almost 20 different major manufacturers.  Please come visit us to see how we can help you solve your building problems and realize your decorative dreams.....and don't forget to bring along your questions, we like a challenge
